Wolff returns to Wizards

So, Josh Wolff is making a triumphant return to Kansas City. I guess you can't really call it "triumphant," but it certainly is the best (read:only) career move that he could make at this point.

According to an article in the Kansas City Star, Wolff will return to the side that heled in scoring in 2004 and 2005. And the Wizards certainly could use the help (even if it comes in the form of a 31-year-old semi-washed up striker), as they have managed only 11 goals (second worst in MLS) this season.

Wolff, meanwhile, has gotten some recent (some would say undeserved) caps with the national team, following his not-so-successful stint in Germany with 1860 Munich, who waived him following the 2007-08 season.

“I’m excited to come back to Kansas City. (The Wizards) have had a rough stretch. But when you have quality like they have in Claudio Lopez and others, it takes some time to adjust," Wolff told The Star. “I’m excited to come back and play with the old guard like Jimmy Conrad, Davy Arnaud and Kerry Zavagnin.”
