Midseason MLS Power Rankings

RankClubDetails and team MVPs
14Ten goals in 15 games. No striker with more than two. Kei Kamara is their go-to guy? They need help, serious serious help.
Team MVP: Ned Grabavoy
13Claudio Reyna should retire. There I said it. I know it's blasphemous, but you know you were thinking it too. Injuries and terrible defense have the Red Bulls free falling.
Team MVP: Dave van den Bergh
12Claudio Lopez has not been the solution to Kansas City's offensive woes. Will Josh Wolff be their answer? Can you repeat the question?
Team MVP: Jimmy Conrad
11Jason Kreis cries too much about the officials. Sure they are terrible, but so is your team. Deal with it. They are winning at home, but continue to be terrible on the road. Must be the officials.
Team MVP: Kyle Beckerman
10Where in the world is Juan Toja? He's fallen off the face of the earth. This team was in trouble the minute they decided to fire Steve Morrow. Good luck, old dude. At least you have Kenny Cooper...for now.
Team MVP: Kenny Cooper
9How does he do it? How does Fernando Clavijo manage to keep his job when it is obvious to everyone that he has no idea what he is doing? Oh, that's right, he traded for Christian Gomez.
Team MVP: Christian Gomez
8John Carver must be the hardest working coach in MLS from all the rumors of TFC player acquisitions, but how come all that kinesthetic energy has only resulted in Amado Guevara so far?
Team MVP: Danny Dichio
7Chivas USA is an enigma. Sometimes, they are a young team with emerging stars (Flores) and sometimes they rely on MLS's past (Marsch, Razov). And what has happened to Brad Guzan? He went from MLS's best goalkeeper to ninth on the GAA chart.
Team MVP: Sacha Kljestan
6Edson Buddle has stopped running like his namesake and appears to be legitimate, but their defense is still awful. Abel Xavier has to have the worst defense/salary ratio of any defender in the history of the game.
Team MVP: Landon Donovan
5The MLS Cup champs have struggled for wins and settled for a league leading eight draws. Still, this is a talented team that has yet to get it going. Look for a second half run from the Dynamo.
Team MVP: Dwayne DeRosario
4Blanco and a superb defense should be enough for the Fire to consume all-comers, but the C-midgets aren't cutting it up top with just eight goals between to the two of them. If the rumors are true, however, they will soon have their McAnswer.
Team MVP: Cuauhtemoc Blanco
3Columbus is winning the close ones. They are 6-1 in games decided by a single goal, and they boast the longest winning streak in MLS (5). Plus, they are getting goals from a variety of sources.
Team MVP: Guillermo Barros Schelotto
2DC United are back from the dead ... again. Since their 3-2 home win over TFC on May 24th, Emilio has scored nine times. Marcelo Gallardo finally looks like he may earn his paycheck and even ancient-great Jaime Moreno is contributing.
Team MVP: Luciano Emilio
1Steve Nicol should make the short list to replace Bob Bradley. With their top goalscorer injured, the Revs didn't lose a single step, thanks to Nicol discoveries Adam Cristman, Kheli Dube and Sainey Nyassi. The Revs also boast an impressive 6-2-1 away record.
Team MVP: Steve Ralston
